What Does Dad Do In Dental School?

This is the great question that pops up in my mind, most days...What does Chris do at school all day?! My wonderings have been put to ease...Balloon Dogs!
Chris says that no one understands what dental school is like...now I agree.

Apparently this project was for communications class.

For everyone that asks and is wondering how Chris likes school. Well, I think he is 'clowning around' and loving it!

Chris said that he got made fun of for bringning the balloon animal home to us. But, it was well worth it. It was a big hit with Clayton. Clayton just 'remodeled' it a bit (he liked it unformed), and he was not about to let Chris put it back together.

Actually Chris is doing really well in school and we are very proud of him!

Happy Valentine's Day

My guys are the best! Chris and I agreed not to get each other anything for Valentine's Day this year. So to my surprise Chris comes struttin in with a beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers and a cute Valentines picture. He got away with it because he said it wasn't from him....it was from Clayton. Well, good thing I had something up my sleeve too.

Then....Clayton decided to eat my Valentine.

Everything ended up in harmony!

We even got to spend the night at PF Changs with a couple of friends and Clayton. He was great! Stick food in his sight and he is a little angel. I'm sure he is his father's son!!

Chef Clayton

Hitting two birds with one stone...I was trying to figure out how I could cook dinner and at the same time entertain a kid without totally ignoring him. The solution....FLOUR. Apparently it is very good to have something tactile for him to play with (and it looks like it's pretty tastey too).

I dumped about 1/4 cup of flour infront of Clayton and at first he liked the measuring best but then he discovered what a treat it is to get dirty!
Chef Clayton is on his way to fame. Cooking fame that is.

Note to self: Flour and water make paste! I wonder what it is doing in Clayton's mouth (everything goes in but not everything comes out of the mouth). The play is all fun until someone has to clean up. So, we bid farewell to the paste and wished mom luck for the next day clean-up.

"While You Were Out"

Thanks to Lolli, Pop and Aunt Sissy, we have a brand new house. They came to visit for the weekend and decked out our new place. We love it! It finally feels like home and is semi baby safe!

Upon working on project after project for several days, Lolli eagerly answered her phone with a "Hi this is While You Were Out, Can I help you?". We have some seriously talented folks in our pack.

This was the theme we were going for. Mostly neutrals (plus purple and greens and whatever else ends up as a result of a Home Depot trip). Our land lady is really great for letting us fix the place the way we want it. We'll be here for another 3.5 years so some sweat went into this rental.
Finally Home Sweet Home!
