Sibling Rivalry

Some days I feel like I have twins!
Clayton LOVES Lilli...and, well...Lilli is plotting to lick him to death. She thinks maybe that will get her lap position back! But mostly, they just fight over the toys as you can see in this picture. Lilli growls and Clayton pulls harder. He has a good little grip on things. We just have to watch Lilli's little legs. He gets ahold of those pretty regularly. Lilli isn't going to know what to do when Clayton starts crawling!

Not only has Clayton discovered his tongue (and how to do raspberries) he has also become extremely fond of Lilli's shrip. Yuck, you say? That's what we think too but he will scoot in circles until he gets close enough to it to grab. We'd feel bad about taking it away from him after all that effort!

In moving into a new home, we got a few new decorations.
We thought Lilli worked perfectly because of her coloring!
She isn't so happy about the situation as you can imagine!

Mystery Meal

It is a mystery to me how someone who lives on green beans and now carrots can be this happy :)!

Carrots are our new best friend. Clayton eats them pured or just gnawing on a whole cold one (someone told us that that would help his little teeth cut through).

Can you tell what is what in this picture? That's why we refer to dinner as the mystery meal. Its the color of green beans and kind of smells like green beans...but is sure doesn't look like green beans.

We are starting out early with the piano lessons.
Actually, Clayton is just facinated with the keys. I think it is because of the contrast in black and white colors. Not much of a recognizable tune is coming from those little fingers, yet, but he loves to play and listening to music.

Sleeping is going much better! We let him cry it out a couple of night and now bed time is so much more plesant (not to mention, earlier). We are still working on naps though.
Thanks to Grandma Downard, Clayton has ease falling asleep with an 'aquarium' attached to his crib. That thing could send anyone into a trance.
Thanks G-ma.

Our Own 'Christopher Columbus'

Discovery...Discovery...
Clayton is now 5 months old and is discovering new things every day!! It is so fun. I never know what is going to be the focus of the day (and believe me, he needs a focus).
There always has to be something in the mouth. Looks like he ran out of options here!

I love this little boy! He keeps me going!
Clayton wants to move around so badly! We have to be giving him 100% attention or he will protest! He is getting so strong that I don't give (Myself) very long before he will be crawling. He is already tucking his knees under himself ...and then he gets stuck.

Clayton has discovered that bath-time is the greatest time of all! Watch out mom and dad, Clayton is a splasher! Clayton comes out of the bath with a big grin and we come out of the bath with a change of clothes in hand.

GEAUX LSU!!!

Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you Buckeyes! Good Game!

Wow, I never thought I'd be so excited for a football game.
But the LSU vs. Ohio was the game of the year!

We cooked up a big pot of Jumbalya and Gumbo and Chris invited some OU Dental friends over (in hopes of recruting some new LSU fans I'm sure) and we got routy.
But, for the sake of my roots, we did have Skyline dip (that's Cincinnati Chilli).

Thanks Aunt Mency and Uncle Chad for putting our baby in purple and gold!

Decorations are compliments of Academy Sports in Shreveport and Lolli asking for a whole box of them.

Happy New Years!

OK I'm running a little behind but we wish all a happy 2008!

Tis the Season....again!

This kid is so cute that I had to do one more recap of Clayton's 1st Christmas...

We were so excited to have all of my family in Oklahoma this year for Christmas. Clayton was so excited that apparently he wanted to eat his new cousin Lauren. Actually, Clayton is in the phase where he eats everything his little fingers can grasp. This is apparent by the handfulls of wrapping paper that he ate this Christmas!

MMMM....
Bows were another tasty treat!

Christmas is so much more fun when you have a child to share it with.
We are greatful for this season and all who shared it with us!
