Clayton is 2 Months Old!!!

Clayton is measuring over 24 inches and weighing in at almost 11 pounds. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He isn't such an infant anymore. He wants to be so active that it is impossible to get past his kicking to get a snuggle in unless he is asleep.
Check out those overalls. We have a farmer in the family.

Clayton Goes Bowling

My boys love to play!!
Clayton did so well his first bowling trip. Infact, he was so stimulated by the lights and all the people that we couldn't get him to go to bed! That just means he sleeps all the next day!

Picture Perfect Nursery

Welcome to our nursery. We love it!! It looks like it should be in a magazine (I didn't have much to do with it!). In my pregnant mind, I just couldn't make ANY decissions. So...after several attempts at picking out a bed and even more attempts at finding the perfect baby bedding we are finally done!

Furniture compliments of Grandma Downard and decor thanks to Lolli Loftin (Lolli made everything in fabric. What talent!). You made our nursery dreams come true! Thanks G-ma and Lolli!

Clayton loves the newly recovered rocker. We spend many nights in this waiting for him to get tired enough to sleep. Hence his onesie says "I pulled an all-nighter". That's a bit of an understatement...so, we love this chair!

Clayton...Clayton and More Clayton

Our little "Tax Deduction". This was the first onesie that we bought, or should I say...Chris bought. I don't know how true this is while we are in dental school but maybe someday!

As you can see, Clayton's first words are probably going to be "No Lilli". She is a little confused on her place in our new 'pack'.

Clayton looks like he is struggling but this is his favorite time of day...when we go on a walk. He can be fussy all day and we put him in the backpack, he is magically a new baby. Maybe its just the sun shining in his eyes making him have to close them, but he always just relaxes and falls asleep. They need one of these backpacks for adults!

This is the cutiest!! This is Clayton listening to Chris as he recaps his day. Clayton must think his daddy is the funniest person because he gives him some great smiles. He just started smiling. It's completely random so capturing it on camera was a treat!

Pucker Up Baby

Clayton has made the 'pucker' pretty popular in our house. He puckers up and then looks at you in sheer confusion when you go in for the return smooch! He is so kissable...I just can't help myself!

Lilli has claimed Clayton as 'hers' and she leaves her love marks on him, as you can see! We were worried about having our little attention-hogging princess dog around with the new baby. At first she ignored him. Now, if he is crying, she is inserting her tongue into his mouth/nose or anywhere else it will fit to get him to be quiet. GROSS LILLI. Chris says Clayton will have a good immune system after Lilli babysits! (I think the kissing is mutual in this case though)
Watch out visitors. If you come near, Clayton will get you in his grasp!
This is Clayton giving himself a hicky. This is a regular occuring event when he thinks that we have forgotten to feed him.

Clayton's 1st Zoo Trip

"Our Little Monkey"

Our little monkey slept all the way through his first visit to the Oklahoma Zoo. At least Chris and I enjoyed the visit. Thanks Mom for the Zoo pass!

Above: Posing with Fake monkey
Below: Not a fake monkey. But... Thank goodness for really thick glass!

Baby Clayton on a Baby Hippo (and he didn't even know it!)
It's tought to get a family photo done these days. So, we pause for a quick picture in the butterfly house.

Clayton's Day Job...Sleeping

Our day consists of getting up at the crack of 10 or 10:30 and napping again about 45 minutes later (at least we usually get a shower in that 45 minutes).
Clayton is exhaused during the day. Rightfully so...he is awake all night!
