This week...

Mostly cars...that's what Laney plays with all day (and they are the cars that Clayton has deemed available). She loves them!

Our little Laney is pulling herself up on most things. She has a seriously fast army crawl and doesn't feel the need to have any other means of transportation (no crawling, no walking, just mom walking for her). But she likes to see what is going on where all the 'big kids' are.

I spend most of my day trying to figure out how to help Clayton use all his energy for doing productive things. Growing up, mom had us do a 'Job Jar'. You pick out a piece of paper that told you what your job was. Once, that was finished, you pick another one. So far this has been Heaven-Sent. Clayton is busy doing good and my house is slowly getting cleaner (as well as a 2 year old can clean, I suppose). Is there any child labor laws that I should be aware of?

Hard worker...Hard sleeper!

Happy Birthday Grandma D!!

Laney and I took a little trip up to Sylvania, Ohio for Grandma Downard's SURPRISE 90th birthday! We had a great time and are grateful for all the people who made one GREAT day for Grandma. There were over 90 people that showed up to surprise her. Her face was priceless. Check out these happy ladies!

Update on kid #2...

She's a mom-seeking missile! She hears my voice and crawls as fast as her arms will take her, to me. I love it!

Arbuckle Wilderness

We went to Arbuckle Wilderness last year, and have been waiting to take SOMEONE to show off our Oklahoma attraction....
Lolli and Pop came into town for the weekend. After much talk about animals from Clayton, we finally made it Monday morning. It's a drive thru park. You pretty much drive thru a several acres of land packed full of herbivors (big and small), hang your hand out the window and pray that it comes back whole. It's quite the experience!

It was a long and exciting day...

"Camping"

Clayton asks every night before he goes to bed, "I go camping with daddy tomorrow". Well, this is mom's kind of camping. We headed east to visit Aunt Sandy and Uncle David at their beutiful country place.
It was so relaxing. We got a little hiking in, s'more cookin', 4 wheelering, great company and great food.

Check out that view...isn't it gorgious (and I'm not talking about the female blocking the view:)!
I could easily move here...with a good stock of some bear spray.

For anyone wondering: Potty training is going really well (for both of my guys apparently) BUT when you gotta go, you gotta go. Clayton loves peeing on rocks! Get your good laughs out now because as soon as Chris sees this on the internet, he's going to have me remove it. I couldn't resist. It's just so cute!

Future employee of Barnum and Bailey.... the great (Chihuahua) tamer!

This is the only time that Lilli will let Clayton ANYWHERE close to her...when there is food involved!

Just Movin'

Sorry, it's been a bit since I've been on the computer long enough to post pictures. This is because....I have a mover (actually 2). Laney nor Clayton like it when I sit down (especially at the computer). So, here are some pictures from this week. I have accomplished the un-accomplishable....hat wearing. I love it...they don't...who wins?
Laney is sitting, Yeah! She also does a wicked army crawl and a 'thrust-your-body-forward' crawl. Quite effective. Especially while chasing the Roomba vaccuum!

We've started a little 'school' with Clayton. It's an awesome program that encourages a lot of imaginations and roll playing. This month's theme is our body but next month is all about cooking. They suggested that we get a play kitchen. I got on the internet looking at some seriously cool kids kitchens. BUT, when we got to the store, Clayton insisted on this $40 kitchen (not sure who's kid this is but it's not mine :)! He saved me quite a bit of 'dough' and he loves every little part of it!

He is making eggs for Breakfast!
