Pickin'

We spent a great morning out on the farm. Blueberry Hill is a little farm here in Louisiana where you can go and pick all the veggies and/or fruit that one can desire. The only requirement is that you say 'pickin' (and other similar words so that you fit in here). Clayton learned quickly which tasted good...better...and best! I gave him a greenbean and he threw it on the ground-3 times. Then he proceeded to help himself to the blackberries (which is what we went after today). The problem was, he didn't discern between the red blackberries and the ripe blackberries. He didn't seem to mind the tart taste of the oh so unripe berries, as long as he had something in his mouth!
Lolli was watching Clayton for most of the morning so that I could pick (It was so theraputic). I guess one berry at a time wasn't sufficient. So, Clayton soon discovered where the berries (the 'best' berries) were comming from...THE WHITE BUCKETS!
We couldn't keep his little hands out of the white buckets after the big discovery. Needless to say, this outfit has a lot new purple/permanent decorations.
Lolli's attempt to occupy Clayton so I could pick (and actually pay for MY pickin's).

Baby-Bach

Ok, so I know that I've posted a lot already today, but we are leaving on summer vacation on Monday and I don't know when I'll be posting again. And, I couldn't pass this video up. This is Clayton's hourly routine... Play a few notes, walk around the bench...Play a few more notes, hit his head on the bench..etc! What can I say? He is a boy after my own heart!

Play Date

Chris was ready for his first dental patient (me!) but I wasn't so sure that I was ready to leave Clayton for that long (each dental apt. is 3 hours!).
Our good friends, Sarah and Johnathan (and of coarse Alex), were to the resque!
I dropped Clayton off at his first 'play date' and he didn't even look back once. I guess mom is the one with the 'separation anxiety'.

"Mom, Alex's toys are much better then mine!"

Thanks you guys for a great day and for being such great friends (and so willing to help out)!

Our Little Out-Law

The Crime Scene: One munchkin and a 100 pack of crayons.

We had no other choice but to call in the authorities!
After viewing the scene, the officer (Cindy, our land lady) officially named Clayton "Junior Officer of Midwest City". He was just excited that he got to wear something shiney!

I guess he's not such a trouble maker after all!

Friday Night-Movie Night

Hi Yall,

Grab some popcorn and your PJ's and snuggle in for some Friday Night entertainment with the Loftins!

Ok, the truth is: We couldn't decide which video to post tonight...so you get them all. Clayton changes so much everyday. I can't wait to wake up each morning to see what that day holds for us!

I was a little nervous when the doctor asked us if Clayton was 'playing any games' yet. Nope, I didn't think so. Except, when we got home that afternoon, Clayton decides that he is going to make a liar out of me and play a little/lot of Peek-a-Boo. He cracks himself up. Watch closely or you might miss them-he tends to do it really quickly!

Last, but not least. Clayton has discovered how to stall nap time (I had no idea that 9 month olds were so ingenius). He will do anything: 1) For a laugh and 2) Not to have to go to sleep.

Happy Memorial Day Ya'll

We spent a whole day at home... JUST GETTIN' INTO TROUBLE!

Clayton has discovered the TP and has decided to decorate for the holiday!

We did some yard work, had some friends over, and most importantly: ATE, ATE, ATE! (hence the video)

Clayton has decided that what you have on your plate is much more appealing then what he has. So, instead of fighting the jarred-baby-food-spitting, we've started giving him table food. Whether he is fully nurished by it, I'm not exactly sure. But, at least it's intertaining!

"Cake-Attack"

Nope, it wasn't a cake to the face, but better...

NO calorie....NO fat....NO sugar...Birthday Cakes!

Surprisingly, I was 'pleasantly surprised' around midnight last night with a cake attack. Lilli was the first to greet the attackers. It wasn't until the door bell rang that I even knew the sweet surprise! You'd think a ringing at midnight would be trouble. Nope, it put the biggest smile on my face and I was so happy I couldn't even sleep! I've never been 'attacked' before.

Thanks you guys for remembering my birthday! You made it a great one!!

I woke up to cakes...cakes and more cakes! They surrounded the house and were topped off with all the chocolate a girl could handle for breakfast!
