Update: Clayton is now walking of his own free will and choice. The funny part is that he has to have at least one arm up for balance. If he only has one up he seems to walk in a circle.

Last week Matt (my cousin) and Sam got married in the coolest way....at the baseball field in Toledo, Ohio.
As you can see, Clayton ejoyed going up and down the isles greating everyone. Even the wedding photographer snapped a bunch of pictures of our little flirt!
After the wedding, Matt and Sam released 2 doves (they were homing doves/pigeons that were home before the wedding was over--very cool), and we got to run the bases....ouch! They use gravel. I always thought the baseball players were running on dirt. Don't count on me sliding into home.

The night was filled with dancing and good times. It was a beautiful wedding!

We woke up this Sunday morning with a climber! Clayton has been showing some signs of climbing (ie. I looked up at the stage at church a couple of weeks ago and saw my child had taken the 5 stair climb to the top), but had no idea about the laws of gravity..until now.
Then today at church, I'm thinkin' Clayton is a pro at this new up-down adventure so I let him wonder up to the podium...and back down....up....down. The problem came when there were 2 steps to conquer on the way down. He mastered the first step and face planted the next. Looks like we're going to have to take our 'crash-landing' pillows to church with us next week.
Here is the video request for those wondering what we are doing with our time in Florida. We sit around and make Clayton do tricks for our enjoyment (not to mention he is pretty proud of himself too).
Here is the bad with the good... in his 'maturing' age (almost 11 months), Clayton has learned how to throw temper tantrums. I don't know where he picked it up from, but it looks like a he is working on the 'Stop-Drop-and-Roll' method.
FIRST HAIRCUT: After several months of the theme song :"Business in the front, Party in the back", the mullet had to go! Needless to say, cutting a 1o month's hair is a lot easier said then done. It's a bit uneven...but only if you close AND it only took 3 people to cut his hair.
STANDING: Clayton 'accidentely' started standing. We caught him several times with both hands occupied and neither holding onto a stationary object. It's only when we want him to pose for a picture that he decides that he can't stand anymore. I think walking/running is just around the corner!
FIRST TOOTH: This tooth is a bit of an accident. His left upper tooth came in after a collision with the piano bench. The accident left a nice laceration big enought to fit a tooth through. So, not pictured here, Clayton also got his first dental x-rays taken by Dr. LeBlanc.
Yeah, we are almost to Florida. We stopped off at the USS Alabama for some photo ops and Krystal burgers.
This is our little beach baby after a whole hour in the sun. He fell asleep mid cracker- for those of you who have witnessed the food monster probably know, mid-cracker is a rare event.
We got to spend two great days in the Big Easy with our favorite cuz(s) the Laniers! Luckily they introduced us to..."The Monkey Room"- the perfect name for the perfect indoor playground! We always call Clayton our little monkey, but little did we know to what extent.
The monkey room had two areas, one for tots and one for all others (parents allowed)! It was so much fun and there was virtually no place for the kids to get injured.
Hours of intertainment all wrapped up in one little warehouse! Thanks Marley and Mackenzie for taking us to The Monkey Room!
