Happy Easter!

Here are a couple of pictures from our egg hunt. It was raining today so Pop hid the eggs right under Clayton's nose (he was watching TV in the same room). Once he realized that there was hidden eggs..he was off. The problem was each egg had to be shaken, opened, contents tasted and then handed off for the next egg.

He was a boy of few words: He said 'eggs', 'candy' and 'wow' everytime he opened an egg.

Ward Easter Party

Lolli and Pop came in this weekend to celebrate Easter with us. In preparing for the ward's Easter party, we had to dye and bring a dozen eggs. Clayton's first egg dying went pretty well considering Pop kept his full attention through the whole thing and no skin dying.

Good times hunting hard boiled eggs (see video below for why not to give 20 month olds real eggs..we didn't get to eat any of them).
Shhh...Chris got recruited to be the bunny. He did his cute little dance and had all the kids sit on his lap for pictures and candy. I got a bunny snuggle!
Clayton said 'heck with those little eggs', fought some other kids off and took off with the big pink egg. He got to the fence and realized he was at a dead end.

Our Week...

Hi everyone, well nothing extra special happened this week, so I though I'd just send along a couple of picture. This one is my little couch potato watching, what other than....CARS. I realized that one day, we had it on 3 times. Good thing its a cute show.
Is he still considered a couch potato if he watches the same thing over and over again?
Clayton's overalls. I never thought I would put a 'toddler' in overall but Chris had to have them --and now I'm glad he did. They are too cute. Bonus: Chris took Clayton to a train show and got approval from the engineers! Hence the train whistle.

Conference weekend. Clayton did really well. He mainly only sat down when the choirs were singing. I'm so glad they broadcast it and we can watch over the internet. We got tons more out of it.
Anyways, I liked this one because he is lounging with his (Cars) fruit snacks listening to the choirs --and occasionally directing them. Chris makes fun of him saying "He sets up incase 2 of his friends happen to show up". He stole the chair he is sitting in from the 'time out' corner (which tells you how often we use it) and the other two HAVE to stay infront of the TV--which is how he got the last set of stitches.

A Regular Thespian

Here is a little stitch update.

Clayton is quite the drama queen. In fact, during this video, we only got 1 stitch out; and it took almost 3 hours to get the rest out. This is the first time that I've heard him say 'ouch' and he sure uses it to his advantage :)! We couldn't stop laughing long enough to hold him down to get the job done (hence the delay of stitch removal).

Sound Effects

It looks like its all movies today...

Here is one of my favorites. Clayton is getting really good at sound effects, animal noises and most of all copying everything that you do. Here is our version of "Monkey see, monkey do" (he is holding a stuffed dog).

It's Swimsuit Time...

That's right, the Loftin's are getting 'beefy' for swimsuit season! 1..2...1...2. As you can see by Clayton's sign language, all he wants to do is have everyone else do all the work :). Its more of a head bang, but here is our little man doing push-ups.
